Your Best Friend During Pregnancy & Baby’s First Year: The Philips Pregnancy+ & Baby+ App

Let me start by saying — this is not a paid ad. I’m not being sponsored or endorsed to say any of this. I’m just a mum, like many of you, who was navigating the beautiful, overwhelming, exciting, and at times really confusing experience of pregnancy and early motherhood. And in that whirlwind, the Philips Pregnancy+ and Baby+ app became an unexpected amazing guide and support.

I want to share how these little apps became one of my most trusted companions, and why I think it could be one of yours too.

When You’re Pregnant and Google Isn’t Cutting It…👀

In the early days of pregnancy, I had so many questions. What’s normal? What’s not? What size is my baby this week? Why am I crying over a sandwich? 😰

What I loved about the Pregnancy+ app is that it gave me a guide that I could trust. It provided week by week updates about how my baby was growing, changes in my body, and beautiful illustrations that helped me connect to the little one I hadn’t even met yet. It didn’t feel clinical or overwhelming. It felt like a calm, informed friend, gently guiding me through each trimester.

There’s even a kick counter, contraction timer, and space for journaling — little things that helped me feel more in control and emotionally supported when things felt intense or uncertain.

The First Year of Motherhood: Chaos Meets Comfort 😇

Then came the Baby+ app; the follow-up tool I didn’t even know I’d need. My account just switched after I gave birth and I now had another companion. 🥰

Suddenly, I wasn’t just growing a baby — I was feeding, changing, soothing, and figuring out sleep schedules (or lack of!) every day. The app offered guidance through all those first-year milestones: growth trackers, feeding logs, sleep diaries, and developmental updates that were actually relevant to what I was going through.

More than anything, it helped me track and celebrate progress when I was too sleep-deprived to remember what day it was. That moment when your baby smiles for the first time? Or sleeps through the night? You can log it, reflect on it, and see how far you’ve both come.

Why It Felt Like a Best Friend

Because it showed up. Every day. With no judgement, no expectations, just guidance and support.

I wasn’t being told what kind of mum to be or what I should be doing. The app offered me options, ideas, and insight, and let me decide what worked for us.

What I enjoyed the most about both apps were the weekly updates about my baby. I loved knowing when my baby could probably hear my voice, so that I could start singing to him during the pregnancy or that my baby might be starting to roll over. It’s information that helps you feel so secure as you’re figuring it all out.🧘‍♀️

There were of course tools within the app which I didn’t use such as the sleep schedule or the contractions counter. And I’d recommend you also see for yourself what you really need, and what helps you during your journey.

So, Dear Mum… 🌻

Whether you’re pregnant with your first or juggling the beautiful chaos of baby’s first year, I really recommend checking out the Philips Pregnancy+ and Baby+ apps. They may not change your life, but they will make the journey feel a lot more guided, a bit more manageable, and much more supported.

You’ve got this. And you don’t have to do it alone — not with apps like this in your corner.

As always, if you have any questions or would just like to speak with someone, please reach out! ❤️
